Easy Way to Recycle Your Christmas Tree

20150102When you take down your Christmas tree after the holidays, here’s an easy way to get more use of out it.

Simply prop it up outdoors (especially easy to do if there is a handy snow bank you can sink its base into). Not only will it create a nice effect throughout winter, but birds wintering in the area can use it to take shelter from the cold. You’ll discover it will continue looking good on as long as the weather remains cold.

Garden writer and blogger, author of 65 gardening books, lecturer and communicator, the Laidback Gardener, Larry Hodgson, passed away in October 2022.
