
The most obvious advice is of course to move the plants back from the hottest windows during the heat of the summer or to place them in a more dimly lit room… but there is another option.
You can keep the plants right next to a south- or west-facing window, even on the hottest summer days, by drawing a sheer curtain between plants and the glass. This simple barrier will lead to a major drop in temperature, enough for your plants remain happy right next to the window, even in July and August.
