Slinkys Make Great Squirrel Baffles

Did you know that you can use the ever-popular children’s toy, the Slinky, to keep squirrels from getting to your bird feeder?

Simply attach one end of the Slinky to the top of the pole and let the Slinky dangle down over it with the pole inside. When the squirrel tries to jump on the pole to reach the feeder, the Slinky will prevent it from doing so.

Do note that the interesting part of the video occurs within the first 35 seconds… and you can cut the sound if it annoys you.
