  1. The older I get, the more I appreciate Mother Nature. I enjoy relaxing in a comfy chair on my backyard patio. We have several gardens with many flowers. I simply sit back, close my eyes, and allow nature “in”. It is an amazing how suddenly you hear sounds and feel things that are always there but we never take the time to appreciate them. The old saying: “Take time to smell the roses” comes to mind. Take time, allow Nature to absorb your being. I find it to be a form of meditation; the time spent in my gardens replenishes my spirit. It has become part of my day, my ritual to revive my spirit. Nature has a way of healing your innermost being. Don’t wait as long as I did. It took me seven decades to figure out that no one is too busy to take a respite of perhaps as little as five to ten minutes each day to replenish my spirit. I was always too “busy”, multitasking, rushing from this to that, etc. I finally discovered that if I had just incorporated the healing powers of Nature into my day, it would have “lightened the load” of many a stressful day!

  2. This has always been true but never appreciated so much as in the last couple of years.
