We may think we are nurturing our garden, but of course, it’s our garden that is really nurturing us.

Such true words and so well put! My garden is where I go to heal or when my spirits just need a boost.

It would be ideal if it was a mutually beneficial arrangement but my personal experience tends to make me agree with the author. Thank you garden. Christine Haulgren, Bellingham WA

I am kind of “out there” but I think we are here to serve plants and have largely forgotten how dependent we are upon them. We were given fingers, the only animal able to pick up a tiny seedling with delicacy and to selectively and knowledgeably pull/plant plants with great accuracy. Then there is this big brain…we had no books in the early days…but we had to know which plants were edible, and which poisonous, remember where they were, etc. etc.
