Cactus and succulents Garden shows and expositions

First Quebec Cactus and Succulent Show

For several years, there’s been a huge increase in interest in houseplants and in particular in cacti and succulents. It is in this context that Serres FJC Lavoie Greenhouses has launched the very first Quebec Cactus and Succulent Show. The main goal is to encourage the exchange of knowledge. The event will take place on August 27 and 28, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., at Serres FJC Lavoie Greenhouses, 1470 Avenue des Perron in Laval, Quebec.

Inspired by what is already happening elsewhere in the world, like the Inter-City Cactus and Succulent Show in Los Angeles or the CSSA Annual Show in San Marino, the organizers want to bring together cactus and succulent lovers from across the province of Quebec and beyond. This will be an opportunity for serious hobbyists to present the best of their collections during a small friendly competition.

The event will also bring together specialized companies working in the cacti and succulents field, both in terms of plants and related products. Artisans, creators and speakers inspired by these plants will also be present. It will also be an excellent occasion to discover the newly formed Quebec Association of Caudex, Cacti and Succulents (AQCCS).

The Quebec Cactus and Succulent Show is open to all and will certainly be an opportunity to purchase new additions to your growing collection! You’ll find more details on the program on the Facebook page of Serres Lavoie as they become available.
